No Christmas without Home Alone: Experience it as a movie concert in December

by Nathalia Hentze Nielsen

What would Christmas be without good old traditions?

For many, the holiday means spending quality time in front of the television and one of the biggest classics is the Christmas movie, Home Alone.

This December, you can bring the whole family to Musikkens Hus and experience the movie in a different yet magnificent way.

Musikkens Hus is presenting Home Alone on a big cinema screen whilst Aalborg’s Symphony Orchestra, lead by Jessica Cottis, performs the movie’s amazing music by John Williams live from the scene.

The tickets for the first movie concert are already gone but there are still some available for the one playing on December 3.

Did you forget the plot?

Here’s a short resume if you’ve (somehow) forgotten the plot:

“KEVIN!!” We all remember the story about the McCallister family. They go on a Christmas holiday in Paris but forget their son Kevin back in Chicago.

In 2014, Musikkens Hus was the first in Europe to perform the nostalgic movie with a live symphony orchestra. Now we can all lean back in the concert hall’s red seats and be entertained by this Christmas classic, and at the same time celebrate the movie’s 30 year anniversary.

Home Alone first aired in the cinemas in November 1990. Since then, the movie with Macaulay Culkin as the main character has become one of the most beloved Christmas movies with millions of fans all over the world.

Bring the family for this Christmas event and enjoy lots of fun and games with Kevin, the incompetent burglars, and the rest of the McCallister family. You’ll be guaranteed a great Christmas atmosphere and high spirits.
