Not for delicate souls: Horror-circus is ready with a crazy show in Aalborg
A spectacular horror circus is making its way to Aalborg.
From February 21st to February 26th, you’ll be able to experience the Circus of Torment at Fjordmarken and we guarantee that you’re in for a crazy experience.
From mystical fortune tellers and horrifying freaks to psychopathic artists and murderous clowns – it’s going to be a journey back to a dark age where freak shows where normal.
“We have some of the wildest and best circus artists from all over Europe who are going to deliver a visually beautiful but also very edgy show.
There will be amazing jugglers, artists jumping through hoops of fire and others who will insert things into their bodies,” Jonas Bøgh, a so-called “Architect of Fear” at the Circus of Torment, says.
The show is definitely not for the faint of heart as it’s both frightening and is sure to push boundaries.
As a special treat for internationals, the show on Wednesday, February 22nd at 21:00 will be in English! The rest of the shows are in Danish.

A haunted circus
Entertaining circus shows have been done before in Aalborg but this show has a giant twist because the artists are dressed in scary costumes and makeup while they perform on a specially designed stage that gives you a unique 360 degree view.
It’s the first time the show has ever been done in Denmark but all the people behind the Circus of Torment are very experienced.
While the circus artists have done a similar show in the Netherlands and Germany (which was visited by more than 300,000 people), the organizers have been in charge of Circus Dystopia, which was held at Halloween in Tivoli Friheden.
The cooperation is definitely a match made in heaven (hell?) and Jonas Bøgh is excited to see it all come to life via storytelling.
“We are taking some extremely competent artists and putting them in a horror native where a story is being told.
In the story, the circus director Alexander Ferluci’s tormented soul has returned from the dead and he has brough his circus artists with him who are haunting the circus,” Jonas Bøgh explains.
Get close to the action
A standard ticket costs 345 kroner but you can also get a R.I.P. ticket for 395 kroner.
With a R.I.P. ticket you’ll get to sit very close to the stage, get early access to your seat and get a group photo with the artists after the show.
And here you will get close to all the fun action.
“With our R.I.P. tickets you will get very close to the action and you can also risk being approached by the artists that will be walking among the audience,” Jonas Bøgh says.
