Closed after 54 years: Popular chain opens outlet in vacant store space

Back in January, MigogAalborg reported that Smykkeform on Bispensgade is closing its doors after 54 good years.
But the central store space won’t stay empty for long.
Already on June 26th, Bog & Idé will open a temporary pop-up shop in the space, filled with lots of summer toys, games, books, and great deals.
Outlet and toys in focus
“It will be a summer holiday shop with plenty of cheap goods for the whole family,” says Klaus Simonsen, owner of Bog & Idé in Aalborg and Aabybro.
The temporary shop will stay open until mid-August and will be a perfect stop for families with children and holiday guests looking for some extra entertainment for the summer days.
The pop-up will offer a selection of outlet items and summer toys, with prices marked way down. The focus is on games, books, and play — everything that can create coziness and holiday vibes at home or at the summer house.
New store on the way
After the summer holidays, the space will take on a new function as a temporary warehouse while the existing Bog & Idé store on Bispensgade undergoes renovation in September.
“We’re excited to reveal a brand-new store this fall. It will be ready for the Christmas shopping season, and it will be a fully updated version of Bog & Idé with new interior design and an even better customer experience,” promises Klaus Simonsen.
