Over 2 million Christmas lights: One of the most beautiful Christmas towns opens soon
Whether or not you think it’s early, there are some Christmas whispers.
We’ve already announced the arrival of the cozy Christmas truck in front of Salling, and we’re also ready to share some other Christmas news.
One of the most magical Christmas traditions in North Jutland is and will always be the magical Sculpture Park in Blokhus.
And you’re allowed to get excited because so are we.
We can already look forward to enchanting Christmas lights and a sound show in the Sculpture Park on November 5th.
There’s plenty of room in the 20,000 square-meter park, which once again offers a fairytale experience. The decorations on the park’s buildings, trees and gardens are magnified by a brilliant display of 2 million Christmas lights.
You can also gaze upon a huge nativity scene, Santa in his sleigh, a kissing gazebo, a giant 17.5 meter Christmas tree, beautiful golden carets, flashing Christmas stars, a love tree with red Christmas hearts and much more.
Cozy Christmas stands and magical Christmas lights
There are cozy Christmas stands where you can discover artwork, iron sculptures, wickerwork, crafts, Christmas specialties, plants, decorations and candles from 15:00 to 20:00.
There’s also lots of Christmas music, taffy, crackers, and other delicacies. Finish with extra Christmas fun by watching a spectacular light show every evening at 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, and 20:00 (the light show is closed on December 24th and 25th).
The big and beautiful sand sculptures are also illuminated with colorful Christmas lights, and the park’s other unique artworks and sculptures are beautifully combined with the unique Christmas decorations.
The 20,000-square-meter sculpture park simply emits the joy of Christmas in a class of its own.
There is a big opening party on November, Saturday the 5th and here you can look forward to:
The Sculpture Park, Christmas stands, and Arcade open at 15:00.
From 16:30, you will be able to experience the following:
- Musical performance by Jammerbugt Garden
- Joined by Blokhus Kanonlaug
- Santa Claus meeting by the Santas of North Jutland
- Speech by Mayor Mogens Gade and park owner John Andersen
- After speeches, the 17.5-meter Christmas tree gets lit up
- We finish with dancing around the Christmas tree with the Santas of North Jutland
- Extraordinary Sound & Light Show at 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, and 20.
