Wild opening party: Popular brand opens first Aalborg store
You may already have heard of them.
The Aarhus-based company Ditur, which became nationally known after a successful appearance on the Danish version of Dragon’s Den, “Løvens Hule,” in 2020, has now opened its first store in Aalborg.
Yesterday, Friday May 22, the company officially opened its doors in Aalborg Storcenter, where the launch was celebrated with special opening offers and huge crowds of visitors.
The opening weekend celebration continues throughout the weekend.
Behind Ditur are twin brothers Kasper and Mikkel Dissing, who founded the company back in 2014.
And it’s fair to say they are doing exceptionally well.
Their 2025 financial report shows an impressive profit of nearly 20 million DKK.
Now Expanding Into Physical Stores
Since appearing on Løvens Hule, the company has experienced massive growth and is today known as Scandinavia’s largest online retailer of watches and accessories.
But the focus is no longer only online.
Ditur is increasingly investing in physical stores, and now it’s Aalborg’s turn.
“Our customers in Northern Jutland have been asking for a location up north for a long time. We’re excited that we can now meet that demand,” explains Ditur co-owner Kasper Dissing.
The new store in Aalborg Storcenter is Ditur’s first in Northern Jutland.
The company already operates stores in Aarhus, Hasselager, Odense, Rødovre, Herning, Kolding, as well as in Malmö, Sweden, and Skien, Norway.
But it makes perfect sense that they have now expanded to Aalborg.
Risgaard Believed in the Twins
Among the owners behind Ditur is also Coolgroup, which is owned by the Coolshop group.
Jacob Risgaard was one of the “dragons” who believed in the twins and invested in them during Løvens Hule.
With the opening in Aalborg, Ditur continues its expansion from a successful webshop into an increasingly large physical retail chain.
Aalborg Storcenter is also celebrating the successful opening weekend.
