Prepare yourself: Heavy snowfall continues throughout the day
Last night, we warned our readers that a new snowfall would hit Aalborg and affect traffic.
The forecast turned out to be accurate, as confirmed by us and the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI), but the worst is not over yet.
TV2 Weather reports that residents of Northern Jutland should be prepared to drive home in snowy conditions after work.
“Especially in Jutland, one should prepare for continued widespread snowfall when many are heading home from work late in the afternoon,” meteorologists at TV2 write.
The snow is affecting most of Denmark, but Jutland is the hardest hit, with local accumulations of around 10 centimeters of snow.
The Danish Road Directorate has also taken to the social media platform X to urge drivers to be cautious.
“Winter weather continues, and there are currently snowy and icy roads throughout the country. Our salt spreaders and snowplows are on the roads now and for the rest of the day. Leave home early and maintain a safe distance,” they write.
