Ready for autumn: Big events to look forward to

by Megan McPhee Christensen

It’s raining and windy.

Autumn has really arrived now, so many are heading indoor for shelter.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that it needs to be boring here in Aalborg.

MyAalborg has arranged an array of delicious, exciting and, not least, spooky events in October and November.

There is everything from Aalborg’s largest restaurant festival, where tickets are now available, to the town’s biggest cake buffet with cake ad libitum for several hours.

From the creepiest event that you can dust up here in Aalborg this year, to a cozy treasure hunt for the family. Two stark opposites but both really get people off the sofa and out on the town.

Below you can see which events you should not miss out on in the coming month.

Aalborg’s biggest restaurant festival

On Monday, our restaurant festival, “Aalborg Eat Out”, begins.

This time around there are 14 of the town’s best restaurants involved, and over 7000 tickets have already been sold for weeks 40 and 41, when the festival is on.

We’re talking about restaurants like Applaus, Tabu, Menendez, Bistro Dejavu, Rocana, Struktur, Fusion and many more.

Here you can get a three course meal for 249kr or a full gourmet experience for 449kr.

Now even more places have been released for the restaurants that were otherwise totally sold out, as well as more dates for the others.

Huge Horror-zone transforms into your worst nightmare

The first two weekends in October, you can experience the years wildest haunted house.

It is MyAalborg, Alkoholdet and Men’s Klub, that transform the whole area around Limfjordsbanen into a real nightmare, to give you the wildest adrenalin rush.

The area around the old Limfjordsbane has been expanded.

There are more scares, you’ll be hunted more, and you’ll even be chased into the creepiest old train cars. Here you can expect the most gruesome experiences.

As something completely new this year, there are dates where you have to give your written consent in advance that it is allowed to be as wild as possible.

It’s not for the faint-hearted – and DEFINITELY not for children.

What: Horror Haunting Grounds
Where: Limfjordsbanen, Hjulmagervej
