She’s behind Sex & The City: The Real-Life Carrie Bradshaw visits Aalborg
Aalborg will soon welcome none other than the woman behind Sex and the City, when author and cultural icon Candace Bushnell takes the stage in Europahallen at Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
The show, titled The Tales of Sex, Success and SEX AND THE CITY, promises an evening filled with stories of love, fashion, glamour, and honest moments from the author’s own life.
Candace Bushnell, often referred to as the real-life Carrie Bradshaw, will share her personal experiences — from the wild nightlife at Studio 54 to creating the stories that changed how women talk about sex and relationships around the world.
She’ll talk about her dream of winning a Pulitzer, meeting her own “Mr. Big,” and how her universe became a global phenomenon that continues to define a generation of women.

AKKC is pulling out all the stops to give guests a full Sex and the City experience.
Restaurant Podium will serve a 7-course social dining tapas menu, and guests can order a special dessert plate inspired by the series’ universe — featuring macarons, cupcakes, and pink sorbet. Naturally, Cosmopolitans will also be available at the bar.
The show promises humor, self-irony, and wisdom about life, and according to Bushnell herself, there’s room for everyone — whether you identify most as a Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, or Samantha.
