Christmas in July: World congress of Santa Clauses is coming to Aalborg
With 20 degrees and sunshine in the sky, pine trees and Christmas tunes might feel very far away.
But they’re not at all.
From Monday, July 7th through Thursday, July 10th, red suits, jingle bells, and international Christmas greetings will take over Aalborg as the World Congress of Santa Clauses hits the city.
Over 45 Santas, Mrs. Clauses, and elves from around the world—including Denmark, Japan, Canada, Sweden, and Norway—will gather in Aalborg to spread Christmas cheer in the middle of summer vacation.
Each day from Monday to Wednesday will end with a big Christmas parade in Aalborg city center at 4 PM, where both kids and adults can wave to the festively dressed elves.
It’s not every day you meet a Santa from Japan or a Mrs. Claus from Canada in Aalborg’s streets—so it’s a great reason to bring the whole family and experience a unique and warm version of Christmas in July.
Program Monday, July 7:
Various activities throughout the city center from 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM.

Christmas celebration at Gabels Torv with Santas, Mrs. Clauses, and elves.
12:45 – 3:30 PM
Cookie tasting at Nytorv by Salling. Vote for this year’s Christmas cookie 2025.

Drop off wish lists in Santa’s mailbox and pacifiers at BR in Algade.

Garrison Museum – take pictures with Santa in Santa’s sleigh. Christmas crafts.
12:00 – 1:00 PM
Springeren – take pictures with Santa in the submarine. Christmas crafts.
At both Garrison Museum and Springeren, children will receive a sheet to either draw a picture for Santa or write a wish list. These can be handed in at Streetfood for a chance to win the locomotive “Dovregubben” from Cobi.

Get into the true Christmas spirit with feedings and talks at some of the animals all day, plus Safari Simon’s shows featuring Santas, their wives, and elves.

Meet Santas, Mrs. Clauses, and elves around the park and join various Christmas activities at the “Santa Academy.” Feel the Christmas spirit, wish for balloon animals, write an early wish list, and much more.
12:00 – 12:20 PM
Meet Safari Simon, Pongo, and Sonny on the Zoofari stage. Fun, songs, and entertainment for the little ones.
1:00 – 2:00 PM
Santa Congress on the Zoofari stage. Sing Christmas songs together, fashion shows, elf competitions, induction and crowning of new Santas, voting about Christmas 2025, and other fun activities.
Finally, the Santas check if their reindeer are ready for the Christmas Eve tasks.

Meet Santas, Mrs. Clauses, and elves around the park and join various Christmas activities at the “Santa Academy.” Feel the Christmas spirit, wish for balloon animals, write an early wish list, and more.
