Last chance before New Year: Save up to 25% on training at Thorøs Gym

Christmas is approaching fast, and if your wish list is still missing the last (and perhaps most meaningful) gift, there is good reason to take a look at Thorøs Gym.

The award-winning fitness center, previously named Aalborg’s best fitness center, is currently offering a final opportunity to get started in the new year with both training and personal coaching at a particularly favorable price.

Before the turn of the year, you can save 20–25% on both bootcamps and personal training, before new EU regulations come into effect and lead to price increases in the new year.

From 2026, new EU rules mean that full VAT must be paid on all types of fitness memberships if you are over the age of 30.

You can still get it cheaper

A regulation that has received widespread criticism and will make training significantly more expensive for many Danes.

For the owner of Thorøs Gym on Lyngvej in Aalborg, Rasmus Thorø, there is no choice but to comply with the rules.

However, he reminds people that it is still possible to pay in advance and thereby get a lower price.

“It’s not because our training becomes less valuable after New Year’s.

Quite the opposite. But the new charges mean that prices have to be adjusted.

That’s why this is the last chance to get started under the current pricing conditions,” owner Rasmus Thorø tells MigogAalborg.

World-class addition to the coaching team

Thorøs Gym has also significantly strengthened its team with a new personal trainer and bootcamp instructor, Karen Thrige — and she is no ordinary addition.

“Karen has just won two medals at the World Championships in powerlifting, so we really feel we’ve made a great catch,” says Rasmus Thorø.

Karen is among other things leading the center’s popular bootcamps, where participants train full-body strength combined with effective workouts that also get the heart rate up.

New bootcamp focusing on the three big lifts

As something new, Thorøs Gym is also launching a pure strength bootcamp, where the focus is 100% on getting stronger and technically better in the three classic powerlifting movements:

  • Squat
  • Bench press
  • Deadlift

An ideal program for both experienced and ambitious recreational athletes who want to take their training to the next level with professional guidance throughout.

At Thorøs Gym, it’s not just about heavy lifts and breaking a sweat. The center also offers access to skilled physiotherapy, where physiotherapist Mads Winther can help with:

  • Traditional physiotherapy
  • Rehabilitation programs
  • Massage

All gathered under the same roof.

Great equipment and sauna

And for those who prefer to train on their own, the center, as always, offers excellent facilities, open every day from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. A membership includes free access to training as well as showers and sauna.

A Christmas gift with impact all year round.

A training program, a bootcamp, or personal training is not just a gift that gathers dust.

It is an investment in health, energy, and well-being — and right now also a gift where you can save a noticeable amount.

If you want to secure the current prices, the message is clear.

Now is the time to act.
