Starting in June: Exit ramp on E45 closed for three weeks

by Nathalia Hentze Nielsen

The Danish Road Directorate (Vejdirektoratet) is actively installing noise barriers along E45 in Aalborg.

These barriers aim to reduce noise pollution for residents living near the highway.

The next phase of this project will occur on the eastern side of the highway at exit <24> Øster Uttrup Vej, necessitating a temporary closure.

According to a press release from the Road Directorate, the ramp will be closed from Sunday, June 23, to Sunday, July 14, 2024.

Closed in June and July

“To have enough space to carry out the preparatory work, the Road Directorate must close this exit ramp for three weeks.

The ramp will be closed again at a later stage when the actual noise barrier is installed,” the Road Directorate states.

The noise barrier at Øster Uttrup Vej will be eight meters high.

Traffic consequences

Drivers are advised to use an earlier exit when traveling northbound.

Alternatively, they will be directed to exit <21> Nørresundby N., where they can turn around and drive back southbound.

Exit <24> southbound will remain open as usual.

The Road Directorate apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause for drivers and residents.

You can always stay updated on the current situation on state roads, learn about traffic restrictions, specific roadworks, and other traffic announcements on the Road Directorate’s traffic map.
