That’s crazy: Stine Rex sets yet another insane world record
An hour and a half ahead of schedule, she could officially call herself the holder of yet another (what many would consider an impossible) world record.
But apparently, nothing is impossible if your name is Stine Rex.
She’s done it again. Around 10:30 AM, she crossed the world record mark, having completed 371 kilometers – this time on a treadmill.
With that, Stine Rex can now claim the world record for women in the 48-hour treadmill run. The previous record stood at 370.9 kilometers, and Stine Rex has now surpassed it – with ease.
Money raised for Lykkeliga
Last Friday at noon, in Skansen in Nørresundby, ultrarunners Stine Rex and David Stoltenborg stepped onto their respective treadmills.
David Stoltenborg had to admit that it wasn’t going to be a new world record for him.
However, he continues to run, focusing on raising as much money as possible.
After two days that pushed both the mind and body to the maximum – Stine Rex reached the goal she had set.
The world record for 48-hour treadmill running for women is now 382 km.
The ultrarunners use their sport to raise funds for children in difficult situations and their families.
In the summer of 2024, more than 750,000 kroner was raised for the SMIL Foundation, and for this event, funds have been raised for Lykkeliga, a handball league for children and young people with developmental disabilities.
This time, they have raised nearly 70,000 kroner for Lykkeliga.
