The opening date is set: New takeaway spot launches with free poké bowls and Bánh mì

by Nathalia Hentze Nielsen

In July, we revealed that the city center is getting a new takeaway spot.

Under the name AN DI, which loosely translates to “let’s eat” in Vietnamese, siblings Xuan and Vi Le are opening a new spot at Boulevarden 12, where We Feat previously operated.

Xuan is the mastermind behind successful ventures like Caspars and Catch Sushi Bar in Aalborg.

Now, the siblings are ready to announce the opening date.

AN DI will officially open on Friday, September 20th at 10:00 AM, and there’s plenty to look forward to.

Free food for the first 200 guests

AN DI is a family project in every sense, with the whole family contributing to offer North Jutlanders an authentic Vietnamese experience in Aalborg.

Xuan and Vi Le’s parents have provided secret family recipes, while Xuan and Vi Le ensure that AN DI offers Vietnamese traditions with a Nordic twist.

To celebrate the opening, the first 200 visitors from 10:00 AM will receive free food.

Guests can choose between delicious bowls—both poké bowls and noodle bowls—or the unique Bánh mì sandwiches.

A special Bánh mì recipe

Bánh mì is a Vietnamese sandwich that originated during the French occupation of Vietnam.

It consists of a classic French baguette, typically filled with spiced meat, pickled vegetables, and other goodies inspired by Vietnamese cuisine.

At AN DI, the Bánh mì gets its own twist.

It’s made with sourdough, crafted with a special recipe developed in collaboration with Othello Bakery, which supplies freshly baked sandwiches daily.

You can enjoy Bánh mì with marinated beef, pork, chicken, tofu, or shiitake mushrooms.

The bread is spread with a special banh mi cream, seasoned with soy and chili sauce, and topped with fresh coriander, cucumber, homemade pickled carrots, and daikon.

Popular bowls on the menu

On the menu, you’ll also find the popular bowls, which can be made with marinated rice or rice noodles.

They are topped with home-marinated meats and signature dressings. Every bowl contains pickled carrots and daikon, shredded carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber, red cabbage, spring onions, and crispy peanuts.

You can also order hyped Poké Bowls on a base of sushi rice, edamame beans, avocado, red cabbage, pickled red onion, pickled cabbage, carrot, cucumber, radish, and fresh coriander.

When winter arrives, AN DI will offer warm noodle soups.

If you’re thirsty, you can quench it with homemade lemonades.

At AN DI, you can either take your food to go or enjoy it in stylish surroundings, with seating for around 20 guests.

You can find more information about the menu, opening hours, etc., right here.
