As the only cinema in Aalborg, Biffen Art Cinema is showing Danish movies with English subtitles.

It’s a great opportunity for the city’s international citizens to discover what Danish cinema has to offer the world.

The next movie in line to get the English-treatment is The Shadow in My Eye which will be screened in Nordkraft on Friday, November 5.

The drama is directed by the acknowledged director Ole Bornedal and is based on a true story.

The infamous bombing of Copenhagen

The plot centers on an air raid during the Second World War:

“On March 21st, 1945, the British Royal Air Force set out on a mission to bomb Gestapo’s headquarters in Copenhagen. The raid had fatal consequences as some of the bombers accidentally targeted a school and more than 120 people were killed, 86 of whom were children.”

Tickets for the movie are 95 kr and can be bought here.
