Tinka takes over Aalborg: Star-studded Christmas musical visits AKKC

Szhirley, Birgitte Raaberg, Paw Henriksen, and Jens Andersen are among the big names when the popular Christmas musical Tinka’s Christmas Adventure returns — coming to Aalborg Congress & Culture Center this December.

After a sold-out premiere at Tivoli last year, the show is once again going on a Denmark tour — with a stop in Aalborg from December 10th to 14th, 2025.

A magical Christmas classic returns

When Tinka first appeared on TV screens in 2017, the whole of Denmark was spellbound. Over a million viewers tuned in every evening, and children across the country donned the iconic red Tinka hats.

Since then, there have been three Christmas calendars and — last year — a grand stage adaptation, which now returns with both new energy and familiar favorites.

At the production company Lion Musicals, there’s great excitement about once again inviting audiences into the elves’ magical universe. “We’re very excited to recreate the magical theatre experience that delighted both audiences and critics last year.

That’s why we’re also truly happy that several of the amazing actors and singers who took part in last year’s success have agreed to join the cast again this year.

At the same time, it’s wonderful and exciting that we’re welcoming new names and fresh talent to the stage, helping to bring new energy to this year’s edition of Tinka’s Christmas Adventure,” says producer Thomas Langkjær.

Star-studded cast

In the title role as Tinka, we once again see Trine Marie Wisborg, who received high praise in the original production.

Her partner Lasse is played by Salomon Stampe, who has previously appeared in Klassen, Loving Adults, and Under the Stars in the Sky, where he portrayed a young Rasmus Seebach.

Among the seasoned performers are Szhirley as Tinka’s (foster) mother Nille, Martin Bo Lindsten as Lasse’s father Mikkel, and Birgitte Raaberg — known from Midt om natten (In the Middle of the Night) and The Kingdom — as the grandmother Maja.

Also joining the cast is Jens Andersen, who takes on the dual roles of Gobbe, the king of the elves, and the royal son Storm, while Paw Henriksen and Maria Corydon play the elves Bjergi and Ingi.

The music is composed by Burhan G in collaboration with Sarah West, and several beloved songs from the original Christmas TV series return in the stage production.
The director is Frede Gulbrandsen, previously behind successful productions such as The Shamer’s Daughter, The Brothers Lionheart, and Matador.

The adventure continues in Aalborg

When Tinka’s Christmas Adventure – The Musical takes the stage in Aalborg, it promises a heartwarming, grand, and nostalgic Christmas experience for the whole family.

The show runs for only five days in Aalborg, and if last year’s ticket sales are any indication, it’s best not to wait too long to secure your seats.

The production will be performed at Aalborg Congress & Culture Center from December 10th to 14th, 2025.
Tickets are available here.
