Turning up the spook: Come for a scary city walk on Halloween

by Megan McPhee Christensen

Aalborg History Museum’s spooky city walk with witches, ghosts and gory stories is extremely popular.

In the lead up to Halloween, you can join them for a particularly spooky version.

The museum has joined forces with Aalborg’s Roleplay Association TRoA so that the special Halloween city walks will be the place where the living really meet the dead.

Along the way, the audience will not only get blood-curdling stories from the city’s past, told by the museum’s guide; but for these extra spooky city walks, the dead have literally risen from the grave.

There is guaranteed to be an extra good thrill when the grim stories of plagues and civil wars, executions, torture and witch hunts are told – you never know when the dead will come and find you as the tour makes its way through the darkness of the city.

The city walks will be so spooky that they are only suitable for adults and children aged 15 and over accompanied by an adult.

Museum open late

Four of the extra scary city walks will be held on the 31st of October. These tours will start at 18.00, 18.15, 18.30, and 18.45.

Aalborg History Museum is also open extra late this evening from 18:00-21:00, but the museum will be completely dark.

Maybe there are creepy things hiding in the exhibitions, who knows…

There is free entry to the museum, if you purchase a ticket to one of the evening’s tours.

Tickets cost 150kr including the 10kr administration free

The museum writes that since there are several extra creepy city walks on the same evening with a slightly different start time, it is important that you show up precisely on time for the tour (time) you have bought a ticket for.
