Unique to Aalborg: Experience ballet with a view to the Limfjord
A unique opportunity awaits you if you enjoy ballet, opera, and classical music.
Some of the top-tier performers from Verdensballetten (The World Ballet) are performing under the open sky when they once again visit Musikkens Hus.
Just like last year, the ballet comapny will revisit the square in front of Musikkens Hus.
They will perform classical ballet, modern dance, new choreography inspired by the world of opera, and classical music on violin and piano.
The performance will take place on Tuesday, August 2nd, at 19:30.
The finest dancers
The World Ballet presents solo dancers from top ballet companies such as The Royal Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, and The Royal Ballet in Copenhagen.
The dancers, opera singers, and musicians give the audience a unique performance where ballet, opera, and classical music merge beautifully under the open sky and an exceptional atmosphere.
An artistic experience delivered at a high international level will appeal to the connoisseur and curious cultural tourist.
This event will also be great for those who want to experience ball and opera for the first time.
The performance at Musikkens Plads is led by tenor and announcer Jens-Christian Wandt, known for his friendly and cheerful manner. The performance is visible at eye level so all can join.
Pas de Deux for Queen Margrethe
The young up-and-coming choreographer Tobias Praetorius, a soloist at the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen, will also perform at the festival.
The soloist will construct a new pas de deux for Astrid Elbo and Alban Lendorf.
A pas Deux dedicated to Queen Margrethe and a special tribute to Her Majesty on the event of her 50th regency anniversary.
Tobias Praetorius has been associated with Verdensballetten since 2019 as a ballet dancer and choreographer.
