Do you have a dog, or are you just crazy about them? Then this event is most likely for you.

Aalborg Streetfood is hosting a puppy meetup on June 1st, where the lawn will be transformed into a cozy dog area for puppies, adult dogs, and their owners.

And if you don’t have a dog yourself but just think they’re adorable, you’re also welcome. You might be lucky enough to pet a puppy.

The event is free, and you can look forward to a fenced play area where the dogs can run freely and meet new playmates. There will also be an obstacle course, and Seca Hundecenter will be visiting with a free osteopathic check for your dog, advice on behavior, training, socialization, and environment, and last but not least: a competition where you can win a gift card for one of their services.

Streetfood will also welcome Byens Poter, offering snacks, toys, care products, and a competition.

Pet insurance provider Agria will also be there, ready with advice on pet insurance.

All dogs are welcome – both puppies and adult dogs. However, it is encouraged that you only bring your dog if it is used to meeting other dogs and people. Additionally, all dogs must be kept on a leash.

Stop by Streetfood and enjoy the lovely atmosphere with some street food in the sun and the sight of many wagging tails.

On Friday, June 6th, Restaurant Hjemve, Sylvius Ginbar, Nørgaard på Hjørnet, and D’Wine Bar invite you to a wonderful summer party in Algade.

Last year, they had great success with their late summer party and plan to repeat that success again at the end of August this year.

But they believe one summer party in beautiful Algade is simply not enough – and we completely agree.

Therefore, they have also chosen to invite you to a street party in Algade at the beginning of summer – namely on June 6th.

“We will set up tables all along our part of Algade, and there will be an opportunity to order delicious treats from all four places. To satisfy hunger, Restaurant Hjemve will prepare some tasty dishes, Sylvius Ginbar will serve delicious GTs, Nørgaard på Hjørnet will offer chilled wine, and D’Wine Bar will do the same along with plenty of sangria,” they write about the street party.

The bars open already at 1 PM, and at 2 PM the afternoon will kick off with lovely guitar tunes from Frederik Bjørn, who often visits Sylvius and creates a great atmosphere. At 4 PM, DJ Martin Sloth will heat up the music, and at 6 PM the first live band will take the stage to get everyone dancing – Willer with Dans. Around 9 PM, the day will end with the band Urban Crooners, also known for bringing life, dance, and joy.

It will undoubtedly be a day full of music and good vibes in Algade. Unfortunately, table reservations are not possible, so arrive early if you want to secure a spot! They expect many guests.

Aalborg Zoo is bringing the celebration down to children’s level instead of holding a traditional Midsummer Eve. They are throwing an amazing midsummer party just for the kids.

Here, children can enjoy a big show with Bluey on the Zoo Safari stage, meet him at a Meet and Greet, make popcorn over a campfire by the lions, and watch soap bubbles float over the lawn.

“The 2024 edition of D’Wine & Friends was a huge success, and that’s why we’re damn well doing it again in 2025.”

That’s how D’Wine describes their event.

On Friday, June 20, D’Wine will hold two sessions on the same day. The first from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM and the last from 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM.

“D’Wine & Friends is a different kind of wine festival. Here, it’s not a Danish importer presenting the wine, but the winemakers themselves. Come meet Jesus, the man behind our Manso and Silvanus, Antonio from Señorio de Nevada, the Boch family who make our exquisite Riesling from Mosel, or how about our winemaker Andreas from Baden who makes rich Chardonnay and world-class Pinot Noir. This is just a small selection of the wonderful people we invite.

On June 23rd, the tradition of Sankt Hans is celebrated with bonfires, coziness, singing, and food.

There are several places in Aalborg where bonfires are lit, and people gather to sing.

Musikkens Hus is one of the venues where Aalborg Symphony Orchestra this year will perform a Sankt Hans concert in collaboration with Signe Svendsen. Additionally, the North Jutland Girls’ Choir and Klarup Girls’ Choir will, as tradition, lead the audience out of the Concert Hall with singing to the Sankt Hans celebration outside on Musikkens Plads.

Furthermore, there will be many other local Sankt Hans events around the city. For example, there is usually a Sankt Hans party with bonfires, drinks, and food in Fjordbyen and at Lindholm Høje.

Probably, a new guide with more information will come as the date gets closer.

Louise Plads holds a flea market on June 29, where you can traditionally find everything from cool vintage and retro items, furniture, and unique collections to modern household items, clothes, and knick-knacks.

It is located in the heart of Aalborg by Boulevarden/Danmarksgade and is one of the flea markets that especially attracts shopping-loving Aalborg residents.
