Will take several months: Here’s why Bispensgade is chaotic at the moment

“If you’ve walked through Bispensgade today, you’ve probably noticed that a large digging project is underway.
There’s hammering and banging. And if you haven’t spotted the construction work, you’ve most likely heard it.
We looked into the matter to find out what’s going on.

Work will continue for several months ahead.

We contacted Norlys, who explained that they have started a larger project:
“We are upgrading from a cable network to fiber optic, a future-proof internet connection, in the area,” Norlys informed MigogAalborg.

Norlys expects to finish work in Bispensgade by May 1.
Afterward, they will move on to Algade and Møllegade, where fiber optic upgrades are also planned.
The final schedule for these areas has not been set yet.”
About Fiber Optic Internet
- Fiber optic internet is based on light cables and can handle immense amounts of data at the speed of light, making the connection stable and incredibly fast – even if the whole family is online at the same time.
- The connection is personal and is not affected by other users in the area or the distance to a central hub. Fiber optic internet is also not impacted by forests, hills, or tall buildings.
- Norlys’ fiber network is open, meaning you can choose your internet and TV provider from among the many service providers included in Norlys’ fiber partnership.
