Are you the new Zoolympic champion?
During the winter holiday, the Zoolympic Games begin at the North Sea Oceanarium – a cozy and playful way to explore the world of the sea.
Here, the whole family can compete side by side in fun disciplines inspired by sea animals.
Who is best at jumping like a sandhopper, walking like a crab, or reacting as quickly as a herring?
With a scorecard in hand and smiles on your faces, your journey through the Oceanarium becomes a shared experience filled with laughter and small victories.
Along the way, there are plenty of little wow moments as you discover just how impressive the animals of the North Sea really are.
Between competitions, you can watch the diver hand-feed the thousands of animals in the giant Oceanarium and see the seal keeper feed the curious seals in the outdoor Sealarium.
There is also space to unleash your creativity in the workshops or explore among sharks, fish, and giant aquariums.
And when your stomachs start to rumble, the café is ready with delicious food for both young and old.
The torch is lit – let the Zoolympic Games begin!

Get ready to be blown away when Fredericia Musical Theatre’s The Three Little Pigs comes to Aalborg.
The classic tale of the Three Little Pigs and their struggle to escape the big bad wolf gets a playful twist. Of course, the three piglets must first learn to stand on their own hooves, but don’t think it’s just about growing up responsibly. In this story, they end up as world-famous superstars!
The Three Little Pigs is a fast-paced, silly, and charming children’s musical filled with catchy songs and funny characters that are guaranteed to make the whole family snort with laughter. The musical premiered at Fredericia Musical Theatre in 2021, where it was nominated for Årets Reumert (Reumert Award) in the Best Musical/Performance category, and returned to sold-out shows in spring 2023.
The performance is recommended for ages 3 and up, but children are different, so AKKC encourages parents to judge whether the show and its content are suitable for their own kids.
Winter holiday at Viking museum Lindholm Høje: Puzzle hunt, drawing tables and creative workshop

If you’re curious about Viking clothing, visit Vikingemuseet Lindholm Høje during the winter holiday (Tuesday 17–Sunday 22 February).
The museum focuses on the entire process and ancient crafts, from shearing and spinning wool into thread, to finally weaving it into fabric.
The Lindholm Høje Viking Group is ready to demonstrate the many techniques used to create beautiful clothing, bands, and cords.
You can try braiding cords yourself using the same techniques as the Vikings – and you can take your creations home. If you’d like to help the museum, the Vikings also need new cushions in the Firemaker’s workshop. The fabric is cut, but they need hands to finish sewing them.
If you prefer woodcarving over sewing, you can help the Vikings carve small wooden figures. These figures will be used in the museum’s activities later in the year, so your help makes a difference.
Program:
10:00 am–4:00 pm: Puzzle hunt and drawing tables for the little ones
11:00 am–3:00 pm: Creative workshop with needle binding, braiding wheels, and woodcarving
