A hit on Netflix: Comedian Katherine Ryan is coming to Aalborg

In September, the popular international comedy festival, Comedy Stop, expands from being held only in Copenhagen to also visit Aalborg.

And it’s not just anyone taking the stage during the festival. Aalborg Congress & Culture Center (AKKC) can now reveal one of the first headliners – Canadian Katherine Ryan with the comedy show ‘Battleaxe’ on Saturday, September 7th, at 20:00 in Aalborghallen.

AKKC can now unveil that the first international name on the lineup is the Canadian actress and comedian Katherine Ryan, known for her two Netflix specials ‘In Trouble’ and ‘Glitter Room,’ as well as her role in the popular Netflix comedy series ‘The Duchess.’

Additionally, Katherine Ryan has co-hosted six seasons of Comedy Central’s smash-hit show ‘Your Face Or Mine’ with comedian Jimmy Carr, who has also graced the stage at Aalborghallen several times.

She has also been a judge on four editions of Comedy Central’s major hit, ‘Roast Battle.’

Katherine Ryan is one of the sharpest and most prominent comedians of her generation, and she takes the stage at Aalborghallen on Saturday, September 7th, with her new comedy show ‘Battleaxe’.

Festival of Laughs Expands

Comedy Stop premiered in 2022 in Copenhagen and has since grown steadily. However, this year marks a significant expansion as the festival takes place for the third time and includes Aalborg as one of its stops.

At Comedy Stop, the audience has a unique opportunity to experience top-quality international stand-up on Danish soil.

The festival brings a variety of acts to different venues in Copenhagen and on AKKC’s three stages in Aalborg – filling both Aalborghallen, Europahallen and Fakultetet with laughter.

During the festival, the audience can enjoy individual solo shows with each comedian, and tickets for each show are sold separately, allowing attendees to handpick the shows they want to experience throughout the days.
