The calendar says September and that means that thousands of students have returned to the (virtual) lecture halls at Aalborg University (AAU).

This year the university received 15.798 applications, which is a 7% increase from last year.

This increase is spread across a large portion of AAU’s study programs but one particular program that has seen a major increase in popularity is the Danish bachelor’s program Economics and Business Administration. They’ve received 977 applications, which is a 47% increase compared to last year.

From September 1st the EBA program, along with a number of Master’s and Ph.D. programs, will be administered by a new initiative called Aalborg University Business School.

Aalborg University Business School seeks to gather the existing business administration and economics studies in AAU and incorporate contemporary issues such as innovation and sustainability.

The goal is to bridge the gap between business and science by cooperating closely with both national and international companies.
