Made by renowned confectioner: Here’s the cake tapas in Aalborg you need to try

Is there anything better than cake? 

How about a sumptuous round of cake tapas where you can indulge in a variety of irresistible cake creations, crafted by one of the country’s leading pastry chefs.

This recipe for success was launched by the newly started (and extremely cozy!) coffee shop Mabel Kafferi on Boulevaraden.

You can enjoy their all too tempting cake tapas every Monday and Tuesday. Choose 4 pieces of cake for 139 kr.

It’s the mother and daughter duo (Camilla and Carla) behind Mabel Kafferi who serve up your selection of cakes on the finest cake boards.

The cakes at Mabel Kafferi were realized through collaboration with the former participant of the Danish Baking Team, Annemette Møller Langthjem. 

Annemette runs Café Victory in Frederikshavn but Mabel Kafferi is the first place she delivers to. 

We have (OF COURSE!) tested the concept on one heavenly Tuesday, and there is definitely plenty to choose from. 

The selection changes daily, and when we visited the options were: Strawberry Cheesecake, Passionfruit Cheesecake, Oreo Cheesecake, Strawberry Sponge Cake, and Choco Choc. 

A bite of heaven

It seems we have tasted our way through most of Aalborg’s sweet treats, and Mabel Kafferi is a serious contender for the best cake … because OH MY… they taste like something sent from cake heaven.

We have to highlight the strawberry cheesecake in particular because it’s one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Even though the other cakes were great too, we were almost sad that we hadn’t just chosen four slices of that cheesecake. 

(Since our visit, we’ve also learned that they offer a Caramel Cheesecake, so we’ll “unfortunately” need to test the concept again another day)
