Skate Night in Parking Basement: Have fun on roller skates in Aalborg

If you’re a natural on roller skates—or just find it super fun—you should join the Skate Night in Aalborg.

Friis Shoppingcenter and Inline Club Aalborg invite you to skating fun and disco vibes on Saturday, March 30, from 17:00 to 21:00 on level -1 in the Friis parking basement.

It’ll be a unique opportunity to skate in a location you normally wouldn’t.

Fun on wheels with Inline Club Aalborg

In a press release, Friis Shoppingcenter writes that Inline Club Aalborg (the city’s roller skating club) is ready with challenges for the participants.

“Compete in bobcat, hockey relay, or show off your skating skills in the legendary Limbo and Stop Dance. The DJ kicks off the party with the hottest tracks, so grab your friends and come dance on roller skates!

It doesn’t matter if you’re a superstar or a beginner on roller skates—it’ll be fun for everyone,” they write.

Costume competition and chill-out zone

In addition to roller skating, Friis also crowns the best-dressed every hour, so put on your most imaginative outfit and join the competition for cool prizes from the stores and the new Friis Streetfood, opening on April 11.

Friis Shoppingcenter and Inline Club Aalborg prioritize your safety, so they emphasize that you should remember a helmet and hand protectors to prevent injuries.

If you don’t have roller skates of your own, you can borrow both roller skates and protective gear from Aalborg Inline Club. That way, you can try roller skating in a fun and safe way.

If you need a break, there’s of course a chill-out zone where you can relax.

For those who are new to roller skating or want to refresh their skills, there’s a beginner roller skate zone on the 1st floor near NORMAL and Monki.

For those who aren’t into roller skating, the stores in Friis Shoppingcenter stay open until 21:00 —and there are also good deals to be found.
