A big makeover: The new Kennedy is hosting a grand opening party

After many months of extensive renovation, Kennedy is finally ready to reveal their new look along with five new shops. 

It will be kicked-off with an awesome opening party on September 10th.

During the last six months, the people of Aalborg have followed the extensive renovation of Kennedy Arkaden with great curiosity. 

Now the shopping center is finally ready with a brand new look and five new, popular shops. These shops, along with the center’s existing businesses, are opening their doors to a grand opening party in just two weeks.

An awesome opening party

“Finally, we can open our doors to the new Kennedy. And we’re very excited to welcome the whole of Aalborg  at our grand opening party in September,” Jakob Veino, head of the rental and property management company Fokus Asset Management, says. 

“The new shops have been carefully selected by surveying our 4.5 million annual visitors. They include the famous fashion stores H&M, Creme Fraiche, Deichmann, Denmarks’ largest hardware chain Imerco, and Espresso House, the leading coffee shop in Scandinavia.

Inaugurated by the mayor

The grand opening starts at 9.45 on Thursday, September 10th, and is attended by the mayor Thomas Kastrup-Larsen who will inaugurate the new Kennedy.

If you don’t have the chance to participate in the official inauguration there’s still a good reason to sneak a peek during the day.

The festivities will continue until 18.00 and will include goodie bags for the first 150 customers, a lot of contests, cool beats by the city’s best DJ, bubbles and snacks from MENY, and surprises that are guaranteed to blow guests away.

Of course, the event will follow the official recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19 transmission and extra disinfectant dispensers and free facemasks from the pharmacy will be available.
