After large transformation: Kennedy’s Plads is inaugurated with DJ and free ice cream
It has been a major project over several years to transform John F. Kennedy’s Square in connection with the Plusbus project.
But now it’s the end of closed roads and ongoing roadworks as the square is ready with its many functions and new architectural expression.
And it will be celebrated in style when Aalborg Plusbus invites you to the inauguration.

The fact that the city’s central square has been revitalized should be celebrated!
The inauguration of John F. Kennedy’s Square takes place on Wednesday, May 17th at 15:00.
Everyone is welcome to attend the inauguration of the beautiful new train station square, where there are several things on the program for a cozy afternoon.
A DJ will be playing lounge music, and it probably won’t be difficult to entice the children, as the Hjem-IS ice cream truck is ready to serve free ice cream in the (hopefully) good weather.
Councilman for City and Country, Jan Nymark Rose Thaysen, will also give a speech on the day.
Program:
- 15:00: Welcome and speech by Councilman for City and Country, Jan Nymark Rose Thaysen
- 15:15 : DJ plays lounge music and free ice cream is served from the Hjem-IS truck until 17:00
