Drink and draw: New event encourages people to come hang out

Whether you’re an avid drawer or just want to meet new people, there’s a new concept in town that embraces both wishes.

Tonight at 18:00, the first Drink & Draw kicks off at the café 1000Fryd.

As the name suggests, the event is centered on drawing and drinking but it’s just as much about meeting new people, getting to know artists, and joining a conversation about the art scene in Aalborg.

The organizer writes that you don’t need to be experienced at drawing to join in just as you don’t need to drink either.

If you want to go, no registration is necessary: Just show up at the café tonight at 18:00.

There will be materials for you to use at the event, but you’re welcome to bring your own things too, whether that’s simply a piece of paper, a pencil, and a marker.

Program:

• 18:00 Event starts
• 18:00 – 20:30 The drawing starts
  15 minute sets with live models
  A still life set-up located in the middle of the room
  Guest artists will be present in the room to engage in conversations, share some tips or provide guidance when needed
  A nicely curated music set will be played
  Bar is open
• 20:30 – onwards you’re welcome to hang out, talk, and share thoughts or drinks
