First come, first served: Students are invited to free football game

When our local football team AaB plays against OB at home on September 30th they’ll be repeating last year’s success by hosting a big Friday party for students.

The companies Det Nordjyske Mediehus, Faxe Kondi and Scan Global Logistics have joined forces to invite students to a free job fair and Friday party called “Students’ Grandstand Party”.

3000 tickets available

AaB’s business partners have purchased 3000 tickets to Aalborg Portland Park, which will be given for free to students in higher education.

On top of this, Scan Global Logistics has hired the local DJ Rikke Darling, the country’s leading female DJ, to create a great atmosphere at Aalborg Portland Park ahead of kick-off.

Before Rikke Darling kickstarts the party, there’ll be a big job fair from 15:00 to 17:00 in the gym adjoining the football stadium. The students get to talk to representants from different companies in North Jutland who are looking for student workers and interns.

The first 1000 students at the fair will be handed a voucher for a free beer or soda from Royal Unibrew. The voucher can be used from 17:00 to 18:30 in stalls number 9 and 10 on Vesttribunen (the western grandstand).

“Last year the Students’ Grandstand Party got an amazing debut with a party-ready and full grandstand. Here OB was defeated by 2-0.

We of course want to see a repeat of this, and that is why we are hosting a huge party for thousands of students in cooperation with Det Nordjyske Mediehus, Royal Unibrew, and Scan Global Logistics,” AaB’s commercial director, Jesper Elkjær, says.

“Aalborg is a big study city and every year, thousands of students move here, and we are excited to bid them welcome to Aalborg with this event.

Both by hosting a great football evening on Aalborg Portland Park and via the job fair where North Jutland companies and students get the opportunity to explore the possibility of finding a relevant student jobs and internships,” Jesper Elkjær explains.
