The famous Jackson family

Joe and Katherine Jackson had nine children who all went on to sell gold records – either as solo artists or groups. From 1962 to 1990, The Jackson 5 were active and originally consisted of Michael Jackson as the lead singer and four of his brothers; Jermaine on bass, Tito on guitar, and Jackie and Marlon as choir.

The group has sold millions of albums with hits like ‘I Want You Back’ and ‘I’ll Be There’, and The Jackson 5 was not least the springboard for Michael Jackson’s impressive solo career.

Aside from ‘the king of pop’, his sister Janet Jackson also joined the history books as one of our time’s best selling artists with over 100 million sold solo albums.
