Infection numbers on the rise among young people: New, temporary test center opens in Aalborg

by Nathalia Hentze Nielsen

Today, the Serum Institute released new numbers stating that there are currently 1.745 people infected with Covid-19 in the country.

Infection among the 20 to 29-year-olds in the municipality of Aalborg has unfortunately been on the rise. Therefore, young people in this age group are encouraged to get tested tomorrow and Wednesday.

The North Denmark Region is moving their mobile test center to Aalborg Kongres & Kultur Center (AKKC), which will be open from 09:00 to 17:00.

Here you’re able to show up and get tested without booking a time first.

Steep increase in infection among young people

This testing opportunity has arisen due to the steep increase in infection among young people in the municipality of Aalborg, which has gone from 9 to 25-28 last week, and today the number has reached 83.

The infected are primarily from the 9000 postal code.

Now the municipality and region are acting quickly so the development can stop before Christmas.

When you show up for the test, you have to remember your health insurance card, and you have to wear a mask.

Entrance at AKKC

You can gain direct entrance from the parking spots by the parking house. There is no access via the main entrance or Scandic.
