Splashing news: Waater Festival returns in August

by Ashton Christensen

Lots of local events have been cancelled or moved in 2020, this spring, and summer, mostly due to covid.

One of those events, washed out by the corona epidemic, was Aalborgs’ new H2O festival: Waater Festival

The festival took place for the first time in 2018 and continued in 2019 – but in 2020 the festival was unfortunately cancelled.

Fortunately, this year is looking better. Waater Festival held by Kabelparken announced that they’ll be back. To be exact, we’re talking about the 28th and the 29th of August. On this weekend, you and your friends can drench yourself with fun and try out a ton of water activities.

It remains entirely free to participate thanks to Waaters’ many sponsors.

A sea of activities ahead

In previous years, the activities have included everything from Waater Blob, Air Track, Waater slide, Waater Water Trampoline, Diving Tank, SUB Boards, Mega SUB Boards, Sit On top kayaks, GoBoats, RIB boats, Aalborg Cable Park and FunCenter’s kayak polo course.

Experienced and inexperienced water dogs can try their hand at ordinary and unusual water activities in a safe and secure environment – we’ll return with the official activities when Waater announces them.
